Passionate Housewives Desperate for God
By Jennie Chancey and Stacy McDonald
Womanhood is loaded with myths. From perfect housewives like June Cleaver to the mothers in Clorox commercials, women are bombarded with the philosophy that they must be perfect to be able to run a home. On the flip side of this myth of perfection is the myth that all housewives are robots, repressed, overworked and unhappy. This feminist teaching is fast becoming the norm, even in our churches. In “Passionate Housewives,” Jennie and Stacy take us on an exciting journey through true womanhood, explaining the joys of service to God through even daily tasks. Some of the topics covered are, Embracing Your Sacred Calling, So Show me What a Keeper at Home Really Looks Like, Aspiring to Great Heights, and Dispelling the Myth. Written in a non-confrontational manner, “Passionate Housewives” is an easy read with deep thoughts. Recommended for experienced wives and young ladies just starting their journey into womanhood.
