Ready for Spring! Terrarium Class
April 5 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm$5.00
Building an indoor terrarium is a very easy process that will give you joy and beauty in the dead of winter. It can be filled with colorful indoor flowers like African Violets, green foliage plants or succulents that will make you smile every time you look at it! You can build a terrarium with many different types of material – a glass dish, a planter, a fish tank, a mason jar or whatever you can imagine. You can use all types of items inside of your terrarium like moss, live plants, succulents (live & faux), fairy garden supplies, driftwood — just to name a few. In this terrarium demonstration, Renee will show how to construct a beautiful terrarium out of materials that you may already have at home and things that you can easily find. She will also bring many terrariums that she has constructed for you to get ideas from. This is a great project for you or your family. Come prepared to learn a lot and be amazed at how much fun and addicting this is. If you are one that enjoys thrifting and garage sales – this upcoming season you will begin looking at basic jars and planters with “fresh new eyes” for making terrariums.
Renee Barry is a local master gardener, and owner of RB The Garden Nanny. If you’ve ever noticed the planters outside the TFV entrance, then you’ve seen her work!
The cost is $5 per person or family, payable day of the class.
